After reviewing my website, the curatorial team of “Static Cinema 2026” has selected this photograph “Rowboat & cormorant, Amstel river, Amsterdam, Netherlands, 2017” for the exhibition, as they feel it strongly resonates with the concept of the project and the dialogue between photography and cinema.
“Static Cinema 2026” takes place in Venice from September 3–24, 2026, at San Pietro Cantieri del Contemporaneo, Ponte S. Pietro, 71, 30122 Venezia VE, Italy, during the period of the Venice International Film Festival and the Venice Biennale Arte. The exhibition explores the relationship between photography and cinema, bringing together artists whose work engages with cinematic storytelling, memory, atmosphere, and the visual language of film.
